Hereβs what Iβm currently working on within my CI/CD certification pipeline:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
AWS Security Specialty
Terraform
AWS Cloud Quest: Solutions Architect
-
Earners of this badge have demonstrated solution building knowledge using a broad set of AWS services. Badge owners have acquired hands-on experience building secure, fault tolerant and highly available AWS solutions.
-
As the AWS Solutions Architect for this role-playing city, Iβm responsible for providing & instantiating solutions using a broad set of AWS services
I define and then deploy these solutions based on the customersβ requirements
Namely, building secure, fault-tolerant and highly available AWS solutions
This mantra really means a lot to me. When I left education for tech, I finally begun doing what I loved to do. Putting my best foot forward, I certainly put in long days, but I never consider it work. My plan is to get paid for my hobby.
Secondly, I look at successful people who repeat the same notion - hard work beats talent when talent doesnβt try. Itβs never the person with the fanciest education, or even necessarily the smartest person who bubbles up to the top. Itβs always the person who works harder than their peers to meet their goals.
-
The approach in each assignment is focused on teaching the material, then having me apply it so that Iβm learning information, not reiterating it. And discovering the game elements β like the quiz questions, challenges, drones, and pets β motivated me to keep coming back to learn more. This was one of the most unique training methods Iβve seen for cloud, and Iβm excited to keep emulating real puzzles and solving them!
The AWS CloudQuest hands-on labs assist me in putting theory into practice. It prepares me to practically experience the Cloud in a real AWS sandbox environment.
Every challenge has 4 steps:
1) Learn: Video & Theory
2) Plan: Walkthrough the solution design
3) Practice: Step-by-step guide to walkthrough part of the solution
4) DIY: The solution is completed by myself and validated by the game
